"In deep, dark forests and murky swamps there lives a small, fluffy fairy like creature referred to as "Lampen-Bärchen" by the locals. This roughly translates "small lamp bear", but the term fairy bear also became popular. These beings have been considered a nuisance first, as they steal lamps, lanterns, candles and anything else that produces a steady source of light. However, that changed quickly once their relationship to fen lights and will o' whisps was discovered. Fairy bears appear in places infested by fen lights and try to counteract them. They do this by providing an alternative light source and cute noises to garner attention. If a person is already enthralled by a fen light, they will fly in circles around them or try to drive off these evil creatures, often risking their own life in the process. They do their best to prevent people from following the fen lights to their doom"
